Fenway Recordings is stoked to announce the addition of 7 upcoming Session shows. #135 will held on July 20th at Brighton Music Hall featuring CIBO MATTO with TONY CASTLES (Tickets). Sessions #136 & #137 will feature FOUNTAINS OF WAYNE with NICOLE ATKINS at Brighton Music Hall on August 12th &13th. Fountains of Wayne's first night, August 12th, will be a full electric set (Tickets), while the second night, August 13th, will be a full acoustic set (Tickets). On August 31st, the Sessions welcomes MALE BONDING with LOVE INKS and GIRLFRIENDS to Brighton Music Hall for Session #138 (Tickets). YOU AM I and SLOAN will take the Brighton Music Hall Stage on September 14th for the #139 session (Tickets). #140 will feature THE HORRORS at Brighton music Hall on October 3th (Tickets). And on October 20th BRAIDS with PEPPER RABBIT will be at the Great Scott for Session #141 (Tickets).
Bodega Girls Release New Single: "Live Free Or Die" Out Today!
Bodega Girls' new single, "Live Free Or Die," is out today on iTunes. It is also available as a limited edition cassingle with exclusive B-Side, "Everybody Wants A Piece Of My Baby" and digital download. The track was written and recorded with the Granite State in mind, and to celebrate the release, Bodega Girls will be at San Antonio Spur - and BG superfan - Matt Bonner's Sneakers and Speakers event at the Page in Portsmouth, NH on July 2nd. They'll join fellow New England indie rockers Deer Tick at this annual fundraiser put on by Bonner and his brother Luke to raise money for the Boys & Girls club.

Mission of Burma to play free outdoor NYC show!
Mission of Burma announces new show as part of the “Free Summer Sunday” Beach Party Music Series in NYC on August 7th. Presented in association with the Seaport Music Festival on Pier 17 and the RiverRocks Series on Pier 54, this six-week concert series, booked for July 10th through August 14th, will include musical acts such as The Ravonettes, Swirlies, and more. Mission of Burma will take the stage at 3pm at the Beekman Beer Garden Beach Club along the East River in lower Manhattan. The concert is free and will take place on Beekman’s 200-ton sandy beach overlooking the Brooklyn Bridge. The show is limited to 1,100 people so get there early when doors open at 11:30 am. 21 and older only. More information here.

Bodega Girls win Best Live Act at the 2011 Boston Phoenix Best Music Poll Awards!
Yesterday Bodega Girls took home a Boston Phoenix Best Music Poll Award for Best Live Act! The award was the result of an online poll as voted on by readers of the Boston Phoenix. Bodega Girls received their BMPA last night at Brighton Music Hall where they also played as the resident house band for the awards ceremony. They were joined by a myriad of musical heroes including Bill Janovitz of Buffalo Tom, Dom, Amanda Palmer and the one and only, Peter Wolf of J. Geils Band for a series of classic Beantown covers. IVY to Release New Album, "All Hours" Sept. 20; First Single, "Distant Lights" Out Now
IVY is excited to announce that All Hours, the band’s fifth studio album, will be released Tuesday, September 20th on Nettwerk Records. The album was written, produced and mixed entirely in the band’s Manhattan studio, and is IVY’s first release since 2005’s In The Clear.
All Hours' lead off track, “Distant Lights,” is available now in the iTunes store, and is streaming on the band’s Facebook page.
