After finishing an outstanding US tour with Into It. Over It. and Hostage Calm, SAVES THE DAY show no sign of slowing down. The band has just announced a 9 day acoustic tour beginning in Chicago and ending in Philadelphia. Saves The Day will play this year's Reading & Leeds festival, and have announced a UK tour to bookend the band's appearances at the massive annual UK concert. The tour includes stops at Portsmouth's Wedgwood Rooms, Kingston's The Peel, London's Rhythm Factory and Glasgow's King Tut's. Chris Conley of Saves the Day will once again be a part of the “Where’s The Band?” tour, which showcases solo acoustic performances by the frontmen of successful rock groups. The 2012 installment will also feature Anthony Raneri of Bayside, Matt Pryor of The Get Up Kids, Ace Enders of The Early November, and Evan Weiss of Into It. Over it. For the first time, the tour will span both the East and West coasts and make a few stops in between. Advance tickets are now on sale here.
Saves the Day collaborated with director Steven Penta on Finding Daybreak, a mini documentary on the band's journey to Daybreak. Chris Conley says that the documentary, "gives our fans a glimpse of who we really are , why we make music, and why they are the reason we will never give up." You can check out the premier over at Spinner in the United States, or Kerrang! Magazine if you are in the United Kingdom.
Saves the Day will be playing five shows across Australia at next year's Soundwave Festival. Tickets go on sale on Thursday, October 20. More info can be found here.
