BlackBook discusses the new IVY album
After tossing off so many near-perfect pop songs during the ‘90s (and a few last decade), Chelsea-based trio Ivy is finally back. Side projects have kept members Adam Schlesinger, Dominique Durand, and Andy Chase busy, but their album All Hours, set for a September release, represents the band’s first new material in five years. Said Durand earlier this month from Los Angeles, “We’ve all been very busy.” Read the full text here.

IVY to Release New Album, "All Hours" Sept. 20; First Single, "Distant Lights" Out Now
IVY is excited to announce that All Hours, the band’s fifth studio album, will be released Tuesday, September 20th on Nettwerk Records. The album was written, produced and mixed entirely in the band’s Manhattan studio, and is IVY’s first release since 2005’s In The Clear.
IVY Set to Release New Album This Fall; First Single, "Distant Lights" Out Jun. 7
IVY will release their long-awaited fifth studio album this fall, title/release date TBA, on Nettwerk Records. The upcoming release -- written, produced and mixed by the band in their own Manhattan studio -- is their first in six years and the follow up to 2005’s critically acclaimed In The Clear. Fans will get a taste of the new album when Ivy releases their first single, “Distant Lights,” on June 7, 2011. A slow-building, hypnotic and danceable track, “Distant Lights” manages to sound simultaneously like classic Ivy and like nothing they've ever quite done before. Singer Dominique Durand says, "This record feels like a new beginning for Ivy. We have never been as excited about one of our records as we are about this one."
Fenway Recordings Adds Ivy to Artist Roster
Fenway Recordings is excited to announce that Ivy, the New York-based trio featuring Adam Schlesinger, Dominique Durand and Andy Chase, is the newest addition to the company's artist roster. The band has released 5 full-length albums since 1995, including Realistic, Apartment Life, Long Distance, Guest Room (all covers) and In the Clear, and their music has been heard extensively in television, film, TV ads, and compilations. All three members of Ivy are active in other projects, as well. Schlesinger is in the band Fountains of Wayne and writes and produces on other projects, Chase released an album in 2003 under the name Brookville, and Chase and Durand collaborated with longtime friend Michael Hampton in the band Paco, which has released an ep and lp to date.
Ivy is currently working on a new album to be released on Nettwerk later this year.
