Mission Of Burma debut new video for "Semi-Pseudo-Sort-Of Plan" via Pitchfork TV

Mission of Burma have just released a new video for "Semi-Pseudo-Sort-Of Plan," from Unsound.  Shot and edited by Mike Gill of CircumVision in the band's rehearsal space in Allston, MA, it is the first time Roger, Pete or Clint have actually appeared in one of their videos.

Mission of Burma to release split 7" with Wild Flag

Mission of Burma have just announced they will be releasing a split 7" with the Portland, Oregon-based supergroup, Wild Flag.  The two bands are co-headlining a show at Brooklyn's Prospect Park on Friday, August 3rd as part of the Celebrate Brooklyn series, and the record will feature "What They Tell Me" from Mission of Burma's Unsound and "Boom" from Wild Flag's Wild Flag.  It will be available only at the show. Mission of Burma Announce New Album Title & Release Date; Premiere New Track, "Dust Devil"

Mission of Burma today announced that their upcoming LP will be called Unsound, and its release date is set for July 9, 2012.  Pitchfork.com exclusively premiered a stream of album track, "Dust Devil," which you can listen to HERE. The band has 3 dates coming up in Missouri in April, as well as an appearance at Territorios Seville in Spain this May.  The Missouri dates are the band's first in that state in more than 10 years.  Visit their tour dates page for full info.

Clint Conley to Play Christmas Cavalcade

On December 15th, Clint Conley of Mission of Burma will be performing a few songs with Jeff Conolly for the Christmas Cavalcade at Johnny D's in Sommerville. The Christmas Cavalcade is an annual concert benefitting the Sommerville homeless coalition, and for a suggested cover of $20, you can catch a slew of awesome performers and donate to a great cause.

Mission of Burma annouce two Boston shows in January 2012

Mission of Burma have confirmed a pair of shows at Brighton Music Hall for January 20th and 21st, 2012.  These will be the band's first shows in Boston since January 2010.

A small number of tickets have been reserved for an exclusive fan pre-sale, which will begin tomorrow, November 2nd at 10AM local time.

Free MGMT, Mission of Burma, and Static Jacks' Concerts this Weekend!

Don't forget to check out FREE concerts by MGMT, Mission of Burma, and The Static Jacks this weekend as Fenway goes coast-to-coast! First, MGMT takes the stage by the ocean at the 2011 Nike US Open of Surfing at Huntington Beach, CA on Saturday, August 6th. The concert is part of Nike’s self-proclaimed “Surfing Music Lineup,” including artists Jimmy Eat World, Surfer Blood, The Sounds, and Dead Country with MGMT headlining. MGMT will play at 4:30 pm at the conclusion of the day’s surfing competition. The concert is free and open to the general public. More information can be found at Nike’s official site.

3,000 miles away, Mission of Burma is slated to appear Sunday, August 7th at 3:00 pm at the Beekman Beer Garden Beach Club along the East River in lower Manhattan. Presented in association with the Seaport Music Festival on Pier 17 and the RiverRocks Series on Pier 54, the free concert and will take place on Beekman’s 200-ton sandy beach overlooking the Brooklyn Bridge. The show is limited to 1,100 people so get there early when doors open at 11:30 am. The beach is limited to audience members 21+ only and further details can be found here.

Finally, rounding out the weekend, The Static Jacks will play a free show at The Echo Club on Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles on Monday, August 8th. The show starts at 8:30 pm and features performances from Active Child, Touche, and Sleeping Bags. Open only to those 21+, check out the official site for full show information.

Mission of Burma announces new show as part of the “Free Summer Sunday” Beach Party Music Series in NYC on August 7th. Presented in association with the Seaport Music Festival on Pier 17 and the RiverRocks Series on Pier 54, this six-week concert series, booked for July 10th through August 14th, will include musical acts such as The Ravonettes, Swirlies, and more. Mission of Burma will take the stage at 3pm at the Beekman Beer Garden Beach Club along the East River in lower Manhattan. The concert is free and will take place on Beekman’s 200-ton sandy beach overlooking the Brooklyn Bridge. Misson of Burma add two new dates in New York Area - Jan, 2011

Mission of Burma will kick of 2011 with two new New York area shows at the end of January.  The band will hit Maxwells in Hoboken, NJ on Friday, Jan. 28th and then head across the river to The Bell House in Brooklyn, NY on Saturday, Jan. 29th. A limited number of tickets are being held for fans to purchase which will allow access the band's soundcheck before each show.  Those tickets will be on sale HERE until Dec. 17th, or until they sell out.
