Faces on Film to Digitally Re-Release "Some Weather" July 19th; Announce Tour w/ Marissa Nadler

Already a favorite amongst Boston critics and fans upon its limited release late last year, Boston-based Faces on Film’s hauntingly beautiful sophomore album, Some Weather, will receive the proper release it deserves when it is re-released digitally by Nice Music Group (Ed Harcourt, Idlewild) on July 19.  The reissue, which will also include several previously unreleased songs, will coincide with a tour with dream-folk songstress Marissa Nadler.  The two-week jaunt, which will kick off in Montreal on July 18, will zig-zag across the east coast and mid-west with shows in New York, Philadelphia, Washington, D.C. and Chicago, where Faces on Film, the musical alias of multi-instrumentalist Mike Fiore, will be accompanied by a full band to bring his sepia-toned songs to life.  Following the tour, he will play a hometown show with Mirah at Calderwood Courtyard at the Museum Of Fine Arts, Boston on August 17. Faces on Film's Some Weather reviewed in the Boston Globe

Jonathan Perry of the Boston Globe reviews Faces on Film's new album Some Weather. Perry compares Fiore to some of indie's greats by noting, "With his poetically opaque eye and a penchant for vocal reverb rivaled only by My Morning Jacket’s Jim James, Neko Case, and those dudes from Band of Horses, Fiore — a.k.a. Faces on Film — again casts his gaze in some divine directions". To read more follow the link here.
