As part of the ongoing Fenway Recordings Sessions - world renowned artists and activist, Femi Kuti will be playing at The Brighton Music Hall on July 26th.
Femi Kuti was born in London and raised in Lagos, Nigeria. Currently aged 53, he is touring through a few cities/festivals in the US this summer. While he’s had a very accomplished career, he is commonly known as Fela Kuti’s son, founder of the Afrobeat genre. Femi Kuti follows in his father’s footsteps as an Afrobeat artist, and by being a social/political activist in Nigeria, focusing on political corruption, poverty, and primitive living conditions.
